AdaptaCane spawned from the Mobility Devices for the Elderly Project from Design for America. It is a safe, ergonomic, and customizable stability device which aids fall prevention.

The most prominent features of this assistive device are its grip and its base. The handle can be molded and remolded any number of times to adjust for the user’s grip. The base is designed to adjust itself if the cane is accidentally positioned on an uneven surface.
